Riding lessons

DeAdder Arabians is your go-to destination for both riding lessons in the Northern CT and Central Mass Area . Whether you want to learn to ride for the first time, sharpen your riding skills, or find an enjoyable after school activity for your children, DeAdder Arabians has something to offer. We teach a wide range of riding disciplines including hunt seat, saddle seat, western, and dressage.

Lessons are offered Monday thru Saturday between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm. We have an indoor arena that allows for lessons during all seasons, and an outdoor arena for use during nicer weather.

We have lesson horses for all ages (6+ recommended, call for details) and ability levels.  Our students have goals that range from recreational riding, improving their skills to ride their own horses, competing at schooling shows, 1 day shows, and A-rated Arabian shows.

Riders should arrive for lessons dressed appropriately and ready to ride.  Closed toe shoes with a heel and sturdy pants are required (jeans or riding breeches are preferred).  Helmets are provided, but should you choose to bring your own, it must be an approved equestrian helmet and fit the student properly.

Lessons are 30 minutes long.

For beginners, this time will include learning how to tack up your horse before the lesson and care for the horse after riding.

Once the student has progressed, they will be expected to arrive 15 minutes early for a lesson to tack up their horse, and will receive 30 minutes of riding instruction.

Hunt seat, Saddle seat, western, and Dressage lessons

Lessons: $50 per lesson

All new riders, or their parent/guardian, are required to sign a release form. The release form can be printed below and brought to the farm with you, or we can provide a form once you arrive.
